Morocco, Africa

The Flight, Day 1
We had to take a plane from Paris to Morocco, but it was only three hours. When we got to Morocco my parents' friends Chris and Carolyn picked us up. Once they brought us to their apartment we had supper and went to bed.

The Desert Tour, Days  2, 3, 4
The desert tour was really fun but we had to drive 12 hours there and 12 hours back. When we finally got there, camels were waiting for us to ride them. The ride was bumpy and hot, but I enjoyed it a lot. After that we went sandboarding. We would climb up the sand dune, then slide down standing up or sitting on the board. After that we watched the sun set, it was beautiful. Then we had supper, it was, soup, tagine (Moroccan stew), and bread, it was really good. Then we climbed to the other side of a dune so that we couldn't see the camp's light, and looked at the stars. After, the boys who cooked our dinner played the drums and sang, that was really cool.  After a long day we went to bed in tents. The night was really quiet and the beds were nice. The next morning Kaija and I went sandboarding for a bit, and then we drove 12 hours back to Marrekech.

Marrekech, Day 5, 6 and 7
Chris and Carolyn picked us up and brought us to the apartment they had booked for the six of us. It was a nice place, it had a pool and lots of space. There was never any clouds and the sun was always shining. We went to a big market where we bought things and saw the cobras kind of going up and down. We went to one of the food stands for supper.
A different day we went to a water fall called Ouzoud. It was really pretty.

Oualadia, Days 8, 9 and 10
We left Marrackech and went ziplining, that was so fun. We did a ropes course in a forest and then ziplining across a gorge.
In the afternoon we got to Oualadia which is a city by the ocean. We went to surfing lessons  and it was a ton of fun. I even rode a few waves standing up! I wish I could always surf.

We had shoarma for supper, it was good.

Casa Blanca, Days 11 and 12
We went back to Chris and Carolyn's apartment in Casa Blanca and got henna tattoos from Carolyn's friend and her sister.  They also made a delicious Moroccan meal of apricot almond tagine and noodles.

Time To Go, Day 13
We got on a plane and went back to Paris.

Ann and Malgwyn

Ann and Malgwyn an elderly cuple had a house which use to be a school house from the year 1800, and now it's they're house. Ann and Malgwyn were the people we stayed with for four days. They were so nice, they cooked really yummy food, they took us places. They were just the kind of people you want when you need a long rest.
Do Nothing, Days 1 and 2
The first two days I, slept in, had breakfast, looked at screens, had lunch, looked at screens, had supper, did nothing while my parents talked to Ann and Malgwyn, looked at screens, went to bed, repeat.
Church, Day 3
This day we went to their church. It was Easter Sunday so they sang songs that said; he has risen, over and over. The people were nice and they were friendly, but I didn't know them at all so it was kind weird. After church we had lunch and I looked at screens till supper and we had lamb for supper. I didn't want to eat lamb and it tasted a little weird, but I didn't say anything.

Last Full Day, Day 4
Our last day was a little bit sad. Ann and Malgwyn were such nice people. The next morning we left for Paris to fly to Morocco Africa.

Paris

Day 1
In Paris we drove around the Arc de Triumph in a round-about that had 7 exits. Then we tried to find a parking place and it took a long time, but we eventually found one that was dug deep into the ground. Our apartment was very small and Dad and I had to sleep together. It was very old and it had steep spiral stairs that led to the small upstairs bedroom.
On our first evening we went for a short  walk and saw the Notre Dame cathedral. It's just a big fancy church. Around the entrance was carvings of saints and Saint Denis was one. There is a legend about him, he got his head chopped off and then he picked up his head, rinsed it off and walked a few km with it in his hands.
This is Saint Denis

The Art And The Climb Day 2
We took the subway to the L'Orangerie to see some art. The room that Monet's Waterlillies were in was a circle room where art was on all the walls. Then we went to the Eiffel tower and went up to the top. We thought that we could climb to the top, but you have to climb to the 2nd level and then take the elevator to the top. When we got to the top we could see forever. We could see the Arc de Triumph and Notre Dame cathedral from the top, but we couldn't see Saint Denis though.

The Drive Day 3
I hate driving.  We drove to Chateau Guibert to stay with a couple named Anne and Malgwyn.
